2nd generation iLok now required for Mercury Bundle. Mar 30th 2011.

With the Mercury Bundle getting bigger with each and every new product releases from Waves, you now require the 2nd generation iLok to hold all the licenses in Mercury.

V8 Mercury user can now get the new OneKnob Series by updating to the latest Waves version, but you'll require the new 2nd generation iLok. Read more from Waves site.

Waves v7r9 released, included in this revision are some hot fixes. April 2010.

Waves has just released new V7r9 installers. V7 Users: These new installers do not require new authorizations; they will uninstall all previously installed V7 plugins.

V7r9 installers include the following bug fixes:

Mac & PC:

1. MultiRack Native: Memory no longer leaks when opening & closing sessions.
2. SoundShifter: Audio is no longer delayed when processing more than one track.
3. GTR Amp: DSP no longer crashes in HD mode.

Mac Only:

1. Digital Performer "Bounce to Disk" is no longer "glitchy."

Waves Update Plan(WUP) New Cap - Feb 2010.

Waves announced new cap for WUP fee on per-account basis, for non-overlapping products.

This effectively puts a cap of $ 200 if you own, for example, GOLD and Restoration Bundles, instead of more previously.

The cost of updating Waves products seems to receive much user complaints, and it looks like Waves is listenning. It is now less painful to update to v7 if you need to buy WUP just to update. Log in to your Waves account now to check out.
