Currently, Waves products available on this site are software and download versions only.

All Waves software are software "audio plugin's" - ie. they require a host audio application to operate(or plug-into). The only exception is the standalone version of Guitar Tool Rack(GTR). Waves software can be used on a PC running Windows OS, or a Mac.

The two main categories of Waves software are "TDM" and "NATIVE". TDM software are to be used with Digidesign ProTools|HD host application, and can also be used with MotU's Digital Performer, Apple's Logic Audio using ProTools|HD hardware. NATIVE software can be run in many host applications that supports VST, MAS, Audio-Units, RTAS, and AudioSuite standards.

Waves TDM software license also includes authorization for the NATIVE version. Hence, when you buy a Waves TDM software, you can use it on either a TDM or a NATIVE system.

To see if your host application is supported officially by Waves, and the correct Waves software version, please take a look at the Supported Hosts and Formats section in this Waves Technical Specs page.

If your host application supports VST, AU, RTAS or AudioSuite, but is not listed above, it does not mean that Waves software will not run with it, it just means that Waves has not officially tested it. The level of support we can provide will not be as complete as those officially listed.

Purchasing and Software Authorization Info

When you make a purchase of Waves software at our site, you will receive an email containing the serial number of the product purchased. This will happen within the same or by the next working day. In the same email, there will be instructions for you to register, download and authorize your software for immediate use.

You'll always get the latest Waves version of the software you purchased. This is a guarantee of our website. If required, you may also download and use an earlier version of the software to suit your audio host software and operating system environment. You are entitled to free software updates for one whole year.

Downloading of Waves installers requires broadband internet connections. The file size is huge and can take forever without broadband internet access. We can mail you the installer CD or DVD(US$ 10) if you are in such a situation. Just email us after you have made the purchase, and you will be given payment instuction.

If you want Version 6 or Version 7 and your production system is connected to the internet, you can consider downloading the WOLI(Waves Online Installer) program at Waves V6/V7 download page. This will enable you to just download the specific software purchased instead of a big combination bundle. WOLI also facilitates the installation after the download.
